A friend of ours named Katka creates the most amazing stuffed toys for children of all ages. Her company is called Katkopia and I encourage all parents to pick up one of these adorable creatures for their little ones. If I were still a wee one, I think I would have become best friends with Molly the Pale Pink BEAR (see image below). They are 100% cotton and filled with Eco-friendly fiberfill (good for the planet and hypoallergenic).

You can view her cute and cuddly stuffed animals by clicking on the blog title or visiting: www.katkopia.etsy.com

Katka also creates wonderful handbags made from reclaimed materials and some lovely jewelry too. Check out: www.katkaland.etsy.com.

I’m so proud of our friend Katka and I encourage everyone to visit her site and support a local Montreal artist and friend. (all photos were taken from the Katkopia and katkaland etsy sites and are copyright of Katka)

We went for a visit to Toronto and stayed with my husband’s extended family at their farmhouse! What a great adventure that was for a city girl like myself… the fresh air and the adorable little M’noden and the entire family.

I chose to do the photos in a high contrast sepia tone to make them feel like old 70s style photographs. The whole farmhouse has that old lived-in full of character vibe and I felt that doing them in this warm rich tone brought out the real feeling I had being there.

Here are some photos from a session of a really lovely couple and their two beautiful girls Maya and Nelli, plus their little poodle Paco who is the front-runner for best behaved dog ever!

I had two sessions with this lovely family! I applied a Lightroom effect on the photos to bring out more warmth and detail over the standard black and white. It worked well for this session.

Recently I went out on a snowy day to photograph what is probably one of the cutest families ever in their beautifully restored townhouse. The setting came out beautifully which makes me so excited about in-home photography. The photos are never the same generic shots because the setting of your home becomes part of the photo, and everyone’s home is different, full of love and character and little corners!

I had a great time at this photo session, with little Lucas being quite the character and his mommy being very pregnant! The new baby arrived last week and I cannot wait to come back to photograph this very adorable and photogenic family again!
