I know that this blog of mine is usually reserved to recent photo sessions and the likes but I love sharing what I find really beautiful as well. This is a beautiful portrait of actress Kate Winslet and her husband Sam Mendes – I love the use of the backdrop with the torn edges as an afterthought, part of the background really. I love the blue cast and I wonder how much is Photoshop or if this it was shot with coloured gels on the lights.

Annie Leibovitz – you are my goddess of photography! My husband got me the book Annie Leibovitz At Work for Christmas and when I read it, it just put me in an Annie Leibovitz mood.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful new start to the year. 2008 was my best year ever with the most amazing clients, bellies, babies and smiles :-). I’m ramping up for a new year and I’m hoping that this year will be even better than the last one! I’m eagerly awaiting my new camera and I’m just so excited about it.

Lots of changes coming for Vivian Doan Photography including new photography packages including some print packages, a brand new website that I have time to work on and new blog so stay tuned. Over the next few months things are gong to start changing!
