It’s a crazy period for photography and I’m so happy that it’s quite busy! This has been a very lucky month for both my husband and myself, having photos and articles in the press all throughout the month! This time Matt is once again in the papers with a CD review from ICI magazine. It’s such a wonderful review comparing his music to Jack Johnson and the legendary John Lennon!!! I mean just last night I was reading about the beginnings of the Beatles in a biography about Paul McCartney called Many years from now by Barry Miles – and this morning I read about my husband’s music sounding a little like John Lennon. What an amazing comparison. I’m so proud I cannot hold it in. Here’s the review (page 25)!
I had a really great photo session yesterday with one of the nominees of Elle Quebec’s Woman of the Year award. Marie-Claude Pelletier is the founder of Les Effrontes, a stylists studio in Outremont who has helped Montrealers look and feel better through the way they dress. In October of this year, she hosted a special event that I also had the opportunity to photograph where Les Effrontes donated their time and clothes to women who were getting back into the work environment but who may not have the means to buy new clothing. She’s a wonderful person and I wish her luck. The winner is to be announced in the February 2008 issue of Elle Quebec! Here is the portrait she chose to submit to Elle Quebec.
