My heart is breaking – Vivian Doan Photography has just donated to UNICEF Canada for the Haiti relief fund. Please think about your children – the numbers are staggering at tens of thousands of orphans. They announced that today, for every dollar donated by individual Canadians to UNICEF Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) will contribute a dollar to UNICEF’s relief efforts that will benefit children affected by the recent earthquake.

Just do it: https://secure.unicef.ca/portal/SmartDefault.aspx?at=1211&appealID=90&CID=99

UPDATE: the CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) will match your donation to any charity registered with the Canadian Revenue Agency who will provide relief efforts for Haiti. Canadians have been overwhelmingly generous since the tragedy happened so let’s continue that trend! Read article.

Vivian Doan Photography has just made a donation to Doctors without Border/Medecins sans Frontieres to help Haiti, which has just been devastated by a 7.0 earthquake. I’m thinking of all of the families who have been impacted, those who are lost or missing and my heart goes out to all who have perished and their loved ones who know must go on without them. Please think of the children who may no longer have parents, or parents who have lost their children, or families devastated by the loss of their homes and everything they have.

I encourage you all to think about your families and how lucky you are… and to give to those who now have so much less and who need our help. I’ve chosen Doctors without Borders, but you can choose Oxfam, Red Cross, Worldvision or any other humanitarian organization that is going to make a difference to the people of Haiti right now. Don’t even think about it, just do it.

I will be praying for my brothers and sisters in Haiti as we all belong to one big global family.
